Meet Your Executive PTSA Board for 2019/2020
Hollie Brown - PTSA President
My husband and I both were born and raised in Bremerton, we have 4 boys and 1 girl. Our oldest is a CK HS graduate, we have 3 attending Fairview Middle School and our youngest is a 4th grader here at Brownsville.
I work as an American Sign Language interpreter in Kitsap and Pierce county, I am an assistant wrestling coach at Fairview, teach spin class at the Y and my kiddos keep my evenings busy as they are all involved in sports during every season. My husband is an avid fisherman and hunter and has passed along his passion to our children. I love hot weather and sandy beaches, and yet here I am, still living in Bremerton.
I am looking forward to this
school year and serving my last year as Brownsville's PTSA President.
Jennifer Bakken - PTSA Vice President
I am excited to be part of such an amazing community and to be able to contribute in a meaningful way. This is my third board position. I am excited to work with a passionate team of PTSA volunteers, families and school staff.
My husband and I have lived in the Brownsville area for 15 years and have two boys - one in 5th grade and the other in 4th grade.
Professionally, I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family exploring the PNW.
Aimee Dennis - Treasurer
I am very excited to be a part of such a great group of teachers and
parents. We are originally from the Sequim/Port Angeles area. Our kids
started attending Brownsville in 2018. We have two daughters, 4th and
2nd grade. We love Brownsville so far and plan to stay put for the next
several years until the girls move on to middle school.
I work as an Area Manager for Caliber Home Loans in Kitsap, Jefferson
and Clallam counties, managing 4 branches. I travel quite a bit for work
but always make my way back in time for Brownsville events!
I look forward to meeting more parents and teachers this year as our
connection grows deeper.
Danielle Arrant - Secretary
My husband and I moved to Brownsville area in 2009 when he took a job at the shipyard. Before having kids, we fell in love with the area and knew we needed to stay. Since then we have moved 3 times all within a 1 mile radius! We love it here!
We now have 3 kids (2 boys and 1 girl). My oldest is 7 and is in 2nd grade, my middle is 6 and is in kindergarten, and my youngest is 3. This year we are also hosting a Foreign Exchange student from Japan named Naho who is a senior at Olympic High School. In our free time, we enjoy playing various sports, having friends over, and we always seem to have some sort of house projects happening.
I am excited to be involved with such a great school and great group of teachers and parents! We have loved our few short years at Brownsville and are looking forward to many more. I look forward to meeting more parents and teachers while helping out this year!
